Life Before Thomas Jefferson High School

Hello everyone! This is my first year at Thomas Jefferson and I couldn’t be more excited than I already am to be here. I’ve been living here in Denver for the last 4 years. I’ve spent most of my time in Denver as a Social Studies teacher for Denver Public Schools. I grew up in a small town in eastern Nebraska, called Blair. I’m a huge Nebraska Huskers fan and alumni of the University of Nebraska where I majored in Education.

I’m very passionate about good music, sports, cooking, traveling, nerd stuff like Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones, and a huge History buff. Outside of school, I love to go to new restaurants, hiking and camping, going to concerts, and hanging out with my close friends. I’m incredibly excited to be a part of this fantastic Social Studies team at TJ, and am looking forward to a great year.
